The group which condemned the loss of lives and property occasioned by the crisis noted that the obvious lack of attention the crisis has met has contributed to the persistence in these clashes.
"Is it not indicting or embarrassing to hear that with the presence of these security agencies in the state it has been turned into a killing field with Fulani taking at will peoples livelihood. Preposterous is the fact that the most recent attacks have all been carried out around the vicinity of the Mobile police barracks along Makurdi-Naka road, sacking all the occupants around it. We ask, where then is our refuge?" It queried. In a statement signed by the group’s President General, Comrade Philip Agbese, the group also shunned at the inability of security agencies in the state to bring under control this persistent crisis which has exhibited itself around the mobile police barracks in the state.
The youth have also demanded that the federal government constitutes an inquisition to look into the possible reasons for the constant occurrence of the violence and suggesting that practical measures be taken to stop the violence, while investigating claims of involvement of security agencies.
It also appealed to the federal government to send succour and compensation to victims of the attacks whom they claim have lost property worth millions to the incidents.
