ADVICE FOR PRESIDENT JONATHAN

As the nation navigates troubled waters portending an increasingly difficult political future, Mr. President and the PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Muazu, need to take certain urgent and important steps for the survival of the party ahead of 2015 and the triumph of the incumbent president in an election that promises to be the nation’s keenest since the dawn of this republic in 1999.

First, before we delve into the subject matter, President Goodluck Jonathan must be commended on his recent strides which are really gigantic...
Despite the threats from the West, His Excellency signed the bill prohibiting same-sex marriage which is the will of God and the people. This is one action that united Nigerians across various social, economical, religious and cultural strata to a very great extent. He also talked Bamanga Tukur into resigning his office when he saw the problem his chairmanship was causing problem within the party and the national polity as a whole. He sacked the service Chiefs, in order to prevent an implosion in the Armed Forces that was capable of threatening the country’s democracy.

He has given out N14 Billion to farmers for the dry season to ensure that there is no food crisis in the nation. Last but not the least; he has curbed the excesses of former Rivers Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mbu.

This act clearly indicates that we have a leader who listens to the cry of masses.

However, there are still other impediments that are undermining his administration’s effort in moving forward. Here are the solutions for such problems that will surely endear the electorates to the PDP:

His Excellency must ensure that the new Chief of Defence Staff keeps to his promise that “Boko Haram will be wiped out before April” we don’t want April to be an all fools month. The Boko Haram menace must be ended at all cost. If that is done, it will restore the confidence of the electorates in this administration’s ability to combat insecurity and enable Nigerians to have a sigh of relief.

The Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, should be relieved of her position. She has been nothing but a burden on the party and this administration in recent times. We appreciate her previous party activities, but it clearly shows that the aviation sector isn’t for her. Her sack will be a plus to our great party, the PDP.

The Kogi State Chapter and national leadership of the PDP must ensure that the PDP must produce another gubernatorial candidate ahead of 2015.

Governor Idris Wada is clearly a liability to our dear party. He has become unpopular even in his own ward, talkless of the entire State. His unpopularity stems from his illegal emergence as governor and the lack of development since he assumed office. With him as candidate in 2015, PDP should kiss Kogi goodbye. His infamy is unmatched by any other seating governor.

This administration must not shove aside the grave allegations on Buruji Kashamu by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. If the allegations are true, then we can’t have him parading himself as a chieftain of our great party.

Chief Obasanjo must be appeased. Yes! Baba must be brought to the fore if the PDP is to continue beyond 2015. His experience/expertise must not be ignored.

National Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Adamu Muazu, must reconcile aggrieved members. He must reconcile the G5 or G7 Governors and all other members across the nation.

We hope and pray that His Excellency Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and the PDP leadership take the issue raised into serious consideration. We love you Mr. President and we know these issues raised are not beyond your powers.

You are the number one Citizen of this Country, so the onus lies on you to do what is right. The voice of the people is the voice of God.
