More corpses have been received at the University of
Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, from Izge, a community in Gwoza Local
Government council of Borno State.
A source told journalists in Maiduguri:
"Some
of the corpses are too bad that we could not accept them here; the
hospital is overwhelmed with the number of corpses. Most of them are
victims of the Boko Haram attacks in Konduga, Damboa and Gwoza. There
are some corpses that were taken to other hospitals and if we have about
100 or there about, that tells you more people have died. I cannot tell
exactly, but the case of Izge, as I was made to understand hit 213."
According
to one of the community residents, Elder Thomas they were not going to
blame anyone for the murders, but instead woul start fasting and praying
 for God's divine intervention.
"We are not feeling as if we
belong to Nigeria, we have lost everything to Boko Haram, the state
government is not reaching to us and when the Federal government brought
relief materials, we were not counted amongst beneficiaries of such
relief materials. Our children cannot go home to see their old parents,
and those living in our villages in Gwoza are constantly being
threatened, maimed and killed. We cannot blame the Boko Haram, we cannot
blame government. Whatever they want to do with us, we are at the
mercies of God and we seek protection and justice from Him."
It
has been also learnt that another resident of Maiduguri, Malam Ishaku
Kwambula had previously complained to the authorities that many young
men from the communities and surounding villages, who embraced the sect,
were carrying guns and walking the streets, threatening people.
However, he lamented, nobody listened to their complaints.
